Regional Basketball Champs

Holy crap. The Girls basketball team at Central Decatur High School—my alma mater—won the regional championships this week (60-59 in triple overtime). Despite the unfortunate “Fightin’ Cardinals” mascot. That means they’ll be competing in the state championships.
The boys team advanced to state a number of times and even won a couple that I remember. I don’t recall another time in my lifetime that the girls have have qualified for the state championships. Way to go!
