Typography: Cholla Set Released in OpenType Format
By mister jason • Mar 2nd, 2006 • Category: Design GeekyI’m a big, big fan of Cholla. The slab-serif variations are some of the best out there. Emigre just announced the release of the entire Cholla collection in OpenType format. Who cares? I do. Why?
“The OpenType format incorporates typographic features, such as small caps, ligatures, old style numerals and lining numerals, all within one font file, thereby simplifying font management and usage.”
That’s why.
Five other good releases from Emigre in Opentype; Fairplex, Filosofia, Mrs Eaves, Triplex and Vista.
